Thanks for a great year! I really enjoyed working with each and every one of my students this year. Some of you enjoyed great success in my classes, others did okay, and a few did not reach their potential. I want you to know that academic success will be yours when you are mature enough to put your heart into the work your teachers ask you to do in and out of school. Make that commitment and you can get whatever grade you want to get! Check out our CLASS PHOTOS...

Happy Cinco de Mayo!!!

The 5th of May commemorates the victory of the 4,000 Mexican forces over the 8,000 French forces in the Battle of Puebla on May 5, 1862. Although, the Mexican army was eventually defeated, the battle came to represent a symbol of Mexican unity and patriotism. The French were defeated and expelled in 1867.

What a tournament it was! Thanks to all who took part in Flisak's Annual Post-Spring Break Basketball Tournament. We had some great 4-on-4 action and each class saw some edge-of-your-seat action all the way through to the Championship game! To see photos, click on the basketball hoop image above.

As the Olympic Torch passed through San Francisco, thousands of people rallied to remind the city and the world about the Chinese occupation of Tibet, a nation that has been peacefully fighting for its independence since the annexation 60 years ago. Mr.Flisak and Ms.Wattles attended a peace rally on Tuesday, Apr.8th.

Friday, March 14th:
Our favorite constant in math is Pi. Pi = 3.141592653589... and on and on and on FOREVER! So, March 14th (3/14) is Pi Day!
Celebrate Pi Day by baking a Pi pie. Celebrate Pi Day by memorizing the first 1000 digits of Pi. If you do you get $1000!

Celebrate Pi Day by throwing a pie at a Galileo math teacher's face (Mr.Flisak too!). This will be happening in the courtyard at lunch.
